Poll results and new poll

Here are the results of this week's poll on flip-flops.

According to this, most people aren't bothered by flip-flops. I'm not either. I just don't think they're appropriate for work. Or, as I said to Nicole, "Flip flops are to suit as sneakers are to ball gown."

Anyway, the new poll is up. Vote here.

OMG Did I forget to vote???

I wear flip flops to work, but then again, I'm one of the few to even wear a skirt (not suit-type skirt.)

I guess it depends on the work environment. Flip flops would not go over well in my office.

I just don't want to see that much of people's feet at work (and it's not as if my coworker who wears them occasionally has ugly feet). I have no problem with it at the beach of course. I guess it goes along with tank tops and short shorts. Fine at the beach but weird at the office. I guess it's kind of like smoking. If the whole office smokes and you have no guests, who cares.

I put Whatever, but couldn't they be considered both hideous and comfortable at the same time?

I guess so. That's why you could have voted more than once.

I find them cute on the beach and when running errands but not so much in the workplace. It's a complicated issue for me, can't you see? :-p

FYI, this e-mail just arrived from the work administration: "As the temperatures outside soar, there is a temptation to overlook the office's "business casual" dress code. It is important that all personnel maintain a professional appearance, however, regardless of the weather. As a reminder, please see the dress code description from the employee's manual (on the office intranet) copied below. Please note that flip flops, camisoles, and tank tops are never appropriate in the office."
