Poll Result and New Poll

For the second week in a row, the poll asked you to pick the best non-scary movie to watch for Halloween. The choices were Shaun of the Dead and Edward Scissorhands.

And the winner is:

Both are excellent movies, so I can see why the vote was so close.

As always, the new poll is up. Vote here.

Regarding your new poll, my vote is none of the above. The only things I don't like is the cold rain and driving on wet leaves. So there's my vote. :o)

change in weather? huh?

I assume kimberly was joking since she described two of the points. I personally hate the darkness. It's depressing.

Kimmie: I think that those are part of two of the choices. And lucky for you, you can vote more than once.

Peter: There's still a change of weather in S. Fla.: It goes from being humid and raining every day to being slightly less humid and raining slightly less often.

Debby: Me too. When it's that dark so early, I just want to go to sleep.

well, no, not exactly. i don't mind the change in the weather, in fact i like having four seasons, i just hate cold rain. and i like the crunchy leaves all over, i just don't like driving in them when they're wet.

call me anal, but your options were just too general for me. ;o)

I voted for the leaves. My backyard has gone from ugly grass to a field of leaves. Very disturbing. To make matters worse, I (idiotically) bought a house on a corner lot, so there's even more grass to rake. And don't even get me started on what my gutters look like.

Driving on wet leaves isn't fun either.

I hate nothing about fall! Well, I hate when it's technically fall, but still warm out. EW!

sorry. wrong blog. Uh. this one...yea. Holidays ain't my thing.

Wonder if that has some deep rooted stuff...eh. Maybe I just don't like the fake smiles

RJ: I think the leaves would annoy me more if I had property to worry about. Now they're just icky to look at.

Scarlet: Don't get me wrong, I loke fall colors and fall clothing. But I hate the ever-changing weather -- when you can't predict what to wear -- and the fact that it feels like it gets dark right at lunchtime.

Needtsza: Yeah, fake holiday cheer sucks too. One month of it is almost intolerable. But two? Sheesh.

To make this not entirely a downer, the leaves are beautiful, if brief, we all love Thanksgiving, and some people genuinely look forward to spending time with their families and friends. And nothing makes me feel cozier than a fire in the fireplace, if I had one.
