Poll results and new poll

This week's poll was inconclusive. And only six people voted:

Since I posted the poll, the Nationals lost 3 games to the Detroit Tigers, and took 2 of 3 from the Cleveland Indians, made a bunch of roster changes, and put Colome and Guzman on the disabled list. Not that this should have affected anyone's vote. Dmitri Young should be the Nats' representative. He's having an outstanding year. And Ryan Zimmerman is not.

Anyway, the new poll is up. Vote here.

Don't blame yourself, the Nats have problems. Plus the Tigers are having a pretty good year.

meanwhile....GO SOX!! ;)

While Young may indeed deserve to be the Nats representative, he faces some still competition at first base- Prince Fielder might be the NL MVP so far and is winning the vote, and you gotta figure Albert Pujols will make the team. I think Zimmerman has the better shot- the 3rd base talent pool is a lot thinner behind David Wright... all in all though if it's going to be a true "All Star" game it's a silly rule requiring each team to have a representative.

I think Young will make the team over Zimmerman. Fielder and Pujols will both be on the roster, probably Derrek Lee too, but that doesn't Young couldn't also be on the roster. It wouldn't be unprecedented to have four players on the roster at the same position.

There are other NL 3rd basemen that are having a better year than Zimm. And almost no one is having a better year than Dmitri.
