Poll results and new poll

You might want to be in a documentary, but I think I'd definitely want a makeover. I'd love to have world-famous stylists do my hair and makeup, even if it's only for one day.

On to this week's poll. If you haven't done so already, watch Britney Spears's performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, then vote here.

Your poll needs an "all of the above" except for the not that bad choice. I watched it.... I watched it dissected on CNN ( How that's news I will never know...) I saw the cameras pan to the crowd ocassionally to show the celeb's looking anywhere from confused to WTF!?! Kanye said it best when he commented, "How the hell did she get the opener?" 15 minutes are over honey..... learn how to parent and move on.

All of the above would be too easy. It's a question of which answer is most correct.

The celebrities in the crowd looked scared, in a "please, please let me have the ability to bow out gracefully when my career is over" kind of way. To me, that was the highlight of the performance.

I watched it at lunch without a key component... sound.

I'm not as harsh on Britney as alot of people... Her dancing was a little shaky for sure, but I don't know about horrible, and she actually looked much better than I expected her to. The look was pretty much par for the course Britney... There's nothing wrong with the bikini in comparison to anything else she's ever worn.

I think it's kind of hard to read the celebrity reaction... I think they're more concerned about their own images. I think they were more confused, knowing they could be on camera, about the proper way to react to a Britney Spears performance at this point.

Ok, On second viewing, the dancing was pretty awful. But she is so not fat... There's something seriously wrong with our society when people are saying she's fat in that performance.

Justin, you need the sound to see how her lipsynching doesn't match the song. And how at some points she stops even trying.

My disclaimer: I don't think she looked as bad in the costume as everyone else is saying. Granted, she's not as fit as she was 5 years ago, but she's a far cry from being completely out of shape.

I saw it on tv, and while watching, I felt sorry for her. Here she is, 25 years old with two kids, and a complete inability to make successful decisions -- including the one to go forward with this performance. Instead of rushing to get back in the public eye, maybe she should be working hard to get all of the other stuff in her life in order. Once that's done, maybe that'll be the right time to try to stage a comeback.

You know what's really depressing? It looks like K-Fed is the responsible one. He should probably have custody.

Yeah, that guest spot on One Tree Hill looks like a great career move in comparison.

I agree with Justin -- I was prepared for something much, much worse based on the buzz this morning. Brit's lip-syncing was never flawless, and I don't know if she was under-rehearsed so much as the whole thing was under-choreographed...more walking than dancing, almost.

Honestly, between the vacant look in her eyes and the half-hearted way she wandered around stage I wouldn't have been surprised if she just sat down in the middle of the stage, put her head in her hands, and tried to wish away the audience. She looked like she turned around, realized what she was doing, and wanted out of there asap.

That said, I voted for "looked drugged out of her mind" because it comes closest to capturing this.

Excellent reasoning, and upon further analysis, "Looked like a deer caught in headlights" should have been an option.
