My sister has two friends that work at a restaurant. And she hangs out with them at the bar, with the bartenders, all the time.
One of these times, there was a very drunk woman with a heavy southern accent trying to order a drink. The bartender didn't understand her, especially since she kept on asking for her drink with a "lahyme."
The bartender still couldn't figure it out, and started asking other people if they knew what she was talking about. The woman kept saying it over and over again, and no one could figure it out.
It was going nowhere until finally, she explained. "You know, a f-r-i-u-t."
This picture has nothing to do with this story, but it is pretty funny, too:

haha. Dara, I love that picture...=-)
Yeah, my dad thought it was really funny too. Especially since I had already taken my camera away from him, and he somehow managed to find another one.
You yankees picking on us Southern folk isn't very hospitable of you :)
A) I don't know who you're calling a yankee. Admittedly, our parents are, but my sister and I spent half our lives in Florida. And we both went to college in Tallahassee -- the deep south.
B) It wasn't the southern accent that was unintelligable -- it was the heavy accent combined with drunken slurring.
great picture. lol i'm a esthetican. LOVE to see everyone taking care of their skin!!!
This was a guise to get my mother to take better care of her skin. So far, it has failed, since I can't even get her to put moisturizer on every day ("It feels greasy!").
My skin's not great either, but, considering the rate that I break out, I'm convinced that since I have the skin of a 15 year old at 30, I'll have the skin of a 30 year old at 60.
