So is my parents'. They put new windows in the bedrooms (after the kids left), but it's still chilly, I guess because it's an older house and really, really long.
Back to your situation: Hmmm...can one really get frostbite in Florida?
My toes aren't blue . . . yet. The socks are working. And I managed to find an old polartec fleece vest to wear around the house. I think it's going back to DC with me as my new fashion statement.
It's way better than my dad's army jacket, which was the first thing I found to wear.
Well, I was thinking she could figure out/fix/replace the thermostat, but I suppose cutting her toes off would be another option. :)
By the way, the user guides are usually online. For some reason, the one owner's manual I didn't get with my house was for the thermostat, but I was able to find it on the manufacturer's site.
I am in Florida. Apparently, we're having some kind of record cold snap.
It is quite cold -- there were reports of snow flurries in a couple counties to the north of us. But at least my parents did figure out how to turn on the heat this evening. I think they had to ask their neighbor how to work the thermostat.

Well, that'll give you something to do this week if you get bored. :)
Cut off her blue toes? :-p Sorry, I needed to amuse myself.

Again, aren't you in Florida?
If Dara fixed the thermostat, what would she "blog" about? ;-)

Cold snap! What happened to global warming? Anyway, have a good, if frosty, Thanksgiving.
Yeah, I saw the weather news last night. But being in Florida, we'll give your parents a break for not knowing how to turn the heat on.

Just wanted to tell you that I enjoyed your blog and "borrowed" your South Park idea for my blog.
Feel free to stop by my little blogspot, and if you like what you read, I'll be happy to do a link exchange with you!
