John Mayer

Dave Navarro used to be my favorite blogging musician -- and it's not that I don't still love him -- it's just that John Mayer is friggin' hilarious. (If you don't believe me, read his Rolling Stone interview from a couple weeks ago.) And his new album is pretty good, too.

I just wish his tv show was still on.

I like his music, but I always found his patter during concerts kinda dorky.

What can I say? I've always been a fan of dorky. ( . . . explains so much, yadda yadda yadda . . .)

Now I know we have a different sense of humor Dara. I read the article (of course I am at work so how much fun can I be having), and he sounds like a lot of boys in their 20s that I've known. Cocky, unbelievably frank, and a little immature. Of course I think people talk a little differently when they're sitting down with Rolling Stone. I like Wonderland and Daughters, but evidently that's not the image he wants to project.

Debby, I hava always known that my sense of humor is much less mature than yours. And I like Gene Weingarten.

I don't think it's a matter of maturity, it's just different. Maybe I've become more cynical than you. I'm certainly disillusioned with a lot of people these days.

The real question is: where is the Dave Matthews blog? I'm assuming John Mayer stole his blogging style from Dave too.

Anyhow, the real reason you like John is that he plugs his guitar into a Volkswagen.

I like John Mayer a lot, too. He is funny. I can forgive him being cocky and slightly immature merely for the fact that he made fun of Paris Hilton.

Debby: You, cynical? Never.

Justin: John Mayer and Dave Matthews do have that similar stoner frat boy thing going on. And, yeah, there is some merit to the VW thing. I wish I could plug a guitar into my car!

Ryane: I wish they released his show on DVD. The few pieces that I managed to see were really funny.

not a bad song writer. though, I'm tired of people comparing him and DMatthews to be the same. :sigh:
