Warning: This might be the lamest thing I've ever written, but I feel the need to share.
I am kinda liking the new radio station that replaced 94.7. (The Arrow? The Globe? WTF?) Right now, they're playing The Church's "Under The Milky Way Tonight," which has got to be one of the awesomest songs ever. They played The Raconteurs earlier.
Now it's John Lennon, "Watching the Wheels," which doesn't complely suck.
This is way better than listening to 107.3, which plays like the same 15 songs over and over again, ad nauseam.
And now: The Killers. This doesn't suck.
But it would be better if they played The Wreckers.

yea. I heard that 94.7 got taken over today. Meanwhile, I suggest Sirius. You can listen online too!
I'm listening now =)
I won't bother with the satellite radio thing. I'll listen to what's around, and if it sucks, I'll listen to CDs/.mp3s. But this 94.7 is pretty good -- they're playing Bruce Springsteen right now.
I love that song. As reluctant as I am to change, definitely digging The Globe so far. Serphe is the man!
It's like a billion times better than when it was The Arrow. It's eclectic.
Does that mean that the Elcectic lunch has gone UberEclectic?
I like The Globe too, but I do miss the Arrow. I'm a classic rock guy. But granted, since 100.3 made the switch, there's no need for both stations.
honeykbee: LOL. If I listen tomorrow, I'll let you know.
Justin: Now 94.7 is like a combination of classic rock, modern rock, and a little bit of pop. It's way better than it used to be, and I think the only station I like almost as much is DC101. I used to like 107.3, but when I listen to it at work, they play the same couple of songs over and over and over again -- one of them is Nelly Furtado. Meanwhile, there's a lot of good stuff that they just don't play -- like The Raconteurs and the White Stripes.
I don't listen to 100.3 that much; for some reason, it doesn't get good reception in my office.
Plus, 94.7 still has Weasel. I missed him this year at Monday Night Football at the State.
DC101 is hit and miss for me. They play too much crappy psuedo hard rock, Limp Bizkit type of crap. (And yes, I know Limp Bizkit isn't the most recent example, but I don't pay enough attention to most of the newer equivalents to know their names).
I don't listen to just one station. I move around a lot. I get bored, I don't like the songs playing that day, my mood changes hourly, etc. This may explain why I don't listen to CDs a lot. I'm fine with the DC radio as a whole. Most of the time.
Doesn't anyone listen to HFS anymore? That was my station when I lived in the area.
HFS bit the big one several years ago, my friend. 99.1 is now a spanish station.
Holy crap! How did that happen? Why wasn't I notified?
How weird. Didn't see that coming.
