More free coffee -- well, iced coffee, if you're going to be technical

Did you miss the free Starbucks last week? Well this may be even better: Free iced coffee at Dunkin' Donuts tomorrow, to celebrate the first day of spring.

I think this is great -- especially since Dunkin' Donuts coffee is better than Starbucks.

I can say that with impugnity, since I grew up in a part of New Jersey where you can give people directions based on the number of Dunkin' Donuts they drive by. Plus, it's cheaper. And finally, my sister, a self-proclaimed coffee expert, says it's the best. If nothing else, you should trust my sister.

Good marketing I suppose. Too bad I can no longer drink coffee. I know it's for the spring, but may I be a bit cynical and suggest that iced means they use less coffee? That was my first thought when I heard the ad anyway. I'm holding out for free ice cream. Actually, I avoid any place that's having a "free" day. Hate crowds.

I think "iced" just means it's poured over ice. Kinda like iced tea.

I'd like free ice cream too, preferably Ben & Jerry's or Baskin Robbins. Or maybe soft serve. Mmmm, soft serve. I'd put up with a crowd for that!

Yes, but I know that when I order something iced at Starbucks, I get far less of the liquid. That's why I often buy hot beverages, even in warm weather.

I love soft serve. I'd pay for that and Baskin Robbins.

You name the time, and I will go out for ice cream.

Yes, iced coffee is cold coffee served on ice. My family is smart and makes ice cubes out of coffee so as not to have watered down iced coffee. I myself hate coffee, but one of my best friends refers to Dunkin's coffee as "liquid crack".

Ice Cubes made out of coffee? Someone should sell that idea to Dunkin' Donuts.

I'm pretty much off coffee (green tea is better for you), but I still like the occasional cold coffee beverage (e.g., frappuccino) and coffee flavored ice cream (esp. Ben & Jerry's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch and Baskin Robbins's Jamoca Almond Fudge). Mmmm.
