Important milestone!

On Saturday, this blog was 100 days old. Since it's existence, the blog has seen approximately 2,800 visitors, and I've somehow posted 425 times. (Quick math: That's an average of 4.25 posts a day, not including my occasional blogging on PH4H. I obviously need to get a life.) And with the link from Wonkette, last week was a milestone. Traffic went up from the usual 75 or so visits a day to over 500 in a 24 hour period.

Still, only 7 people left comments. And, as Trollmeister pointed out, the weekly polls only get 16 or 17 votes. I interpret this as meaning that only the regular readers -- i.e. my friends -- are voting and commenting.

But I have only been voting once lately, if that counts for anything.

I'm not sure whether the number of votes allowed makes a difference. Plus, the program only gives me two choices -- unlimited voting, or voting limited to once per day.

And, generally, when people have voted more than once, it's because they had strong feelings towards more than one poll choice -- to the extent you can describe feelings towards any of the poll choices as "strong." (Maybe "conflicted" would have been a better description, no?)

I'm just glad people leave comments. I've said before that I think the comments are the best part of the blog. I like the interaction. I wish I could have some comment feature that is for the blog in general, not just tied to each particular post.
