Today's reading

For politics, read Robert Redford's commentary on oil dependency and Garrison Keillor on the most appropriate 9/11 memorial. And, if you like science, read about how the Arcitic used to be subtropical and what the Mona Lisa would sound like.

If you're looking for something a little more fun, you can always read how Bono is learning to play piano in preparation for the next U2 album.

That Mona Lisa thing was interesting but kinda creepy, no?

Guess I better get my writing ass in gear for the contest.

Oh, btw, I noticed that the word verification thing (what do they call it -- captchas? -- isn't working from Blog Explosion. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just my crappy computer?

What are you guys talking about?

Blog Explosion is a website from which you view people's blogs. Apparently, when Mad is viewing my blog through that site, the word verification for the comments is disabled. Which means that if he wants to comment, he has to visit the blog directly.
