Look what we missed!

I'll admit it: I love Chick-Fil-A. I am not generally a fast food fan, and I usually don't like fries, but Chick-Fil-A is the exception. And this is in spite of the Christian Fundamentalism.

I even have one of their toys, prominently on display in my kitchen:

So I am quite sorry that I missed the Cow Appreciation Day celebration yesterday. Not that I would have dressed up in a cow suit or anything. But it would have been fun to watch.

I met a Chick-Fil-A cow once. Still on a huge red meat/steak binge but they do justice in reinventing the chicken!

Good to see I wasn't alone

I don't understand the Chick-Fil-A phenomenon. Probably largely because I didn't grow up around Chick-Fil-A. But the few times I've had it, I wasn't at all impressed... No better or no worse than any other fast food to me, and if anything I have a negative memory of the fries.

Plus, they ruined the name of the Peach Bowl.

About the closest I have to a nostalgiac fast food memory like Chick-Fil-A is Long John Silvers. I do get LJS cravings sometimes, even though I know it's not actually good food. But hushpuppies and the "crunchies" on the bottom of the plate. That's good eats.

Justin, you didn't like the waffle fries? They are so good, maybe even the best part of the meal. Well, except for the diet lemonade.

And I generally don't like fries.

Eh. They're not that great.
